Dear Peter Johann,
What an exciting National Park Week it was. We experienced people from
across the country come together to make a difference for the national parks
and programs we all love. Many of us got creative using digital resources and
activities to bring the parks to their homes. What a great feeling to
be able to experience the parks from virtually anywhere!
As a special bonus, this year’s National Park Week also celebrated the 50th
anniversary of Earth Day.
And I’m pleased to announce that our National Park Week fundraising
campaign was a success. We came together and raised an incredible
$285,000 on top of our matching gift offer. Special thanks to our friends at
Nature Valley, who matched gifts for an additional $250,000.
Now more than ever, it’s important for all of us to support causes and
communities that we care about. Whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating
for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to a cause, every act of generosity
matters! If you are one of the many caring, generous people who contributed
to the campaign, please accept my deepest and most sincere thanks. All of us
at the National Park Foundation are grateful that so many of you share our
love for America’s national parks.
